AliMed® LARGE Carrot Hand Contracture Orthosis Kit

AliMed® Original Hand Contracture Carrots effectively position the fingers away from the palm to protect the skin from excessive moisture, pressure, and the risk of nail puncture. Smooth cotton cover is packed with washable, absorbent wool fleece to help keep the hand cool and dry. The carrot conforms to the contracted hand to reduce flexor spasticity. Hand wash carrot in cold water and let air dry.

Conveniently color coded by size:
Small (Orange): 8-1/2″L, 5″ maximum circumference
Large (Green): 9″L, 5-3/4″ maximum circumference

The Carrot Hand Contracture Orthosis Story

No more prying contracted fingers open to scrub hands or wrestling to get hand splints in place. The AliMed Carrot Hand Contracture Orthosis gently opens the hand gradually enough to allow access for better hygiene and easier positioning for traditional hand splints. The kits include AliMed’s “Magic Wand” placement tool which is key to the Carrot’s success. The small, flexible magic wand secures to the loop end of any of the carrot to provide access to the hand without opening it. The carrot can then be gradually and painlessly introduced into the contracted hand.
